Ladybirds!

Conducted a  Story- Activity- Bug hunt session at the Green Pocket. The theme was- Ladybugs!

Used the Eric Carle staple and I was happy that not even a single child was grouchy!

 

The reference for this get together came from a Chota Bheem meets The Hungry Caterpillar theme that I did for a little boy in December.

Proud to be Indian at AV

The Feb session at AV was extra special. 

I took a story that I love - The mountain that loved a bird . 

Illustrated two ways by Stephen Aitken and by Eric Carle.

We sang the song " My name is...." from Karadi Rhymes and to great effect.

The art was in keeping with the rhyme and the India theme.

This was followed by a quirky art exercise that I had done once at home with my older one. A small kid had to lie down on the chart and have his/ her outline traced.

Then the group had to embellish and colour in India themes!!

Even if it is Feb, it is really a collectible more than a calender. Get your copy!!

And I was glad to be a part in a small way, narrated- Subbu the Signal and Too many bananas, much loved tales from Pratham Books.
