Fairy tales - Art Style

Conducted an interesting session on a theme unexplored by me so far- Fairies!

I used Sabuda's pop up book and Gijjigadus and of course Gajapati Kulapati ( yes it fits in with the theme) !

The kids also did a feather hunt to help the trapped fairy out of the castle.

The clues led to a colour we associate  with a certain fairy tale character- yellow for Snowwhite, blue for Ariel and so on

Had a treasure box for them to answer using phonics 

Finally did a fairy craft thanks to a post from Shruti of Artsy Craftsy fame

Lion seeks help at AV

Spoke about endangered animals and used Praba and Meera's books to get the message across. An infotaining session it was....

Am excited to be doing this with my friends' books!!

Of Chefs and stories

Had a really engaging session with kids at Thinkbox.

We made Chef hats, ate cookies, listened to stories( Handa's Surprise, Krishna Sudama and Cloudy with a chance of meat balls)

We also made lime juice ( nimboo paani) and food art- fish.

Story Shower at AV- July

It was a new venue this time for the AV session. A sunny day for stories on Rain

Did the beautiful

- the Sister Sister series'- Thunder one from Pratham
- Tulika's Lets Catch the Rain with author Vinod present with his interesting rain water harvesting demo model
